A sore ankle has Jalen Hurts’ status for Week 13 in question with the Eagles about to face the Jets, but Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni is hopeful his quarterback will play.
Hurts injured his ankle in the Eagles’ Week 12 loss to the Giants. If Hurts can’t play, Gardner Minshew will likely make his first start for Philly.
Sirianni expects to have an update on Wednesday after Hurts goes through a few days of treatment. With the Eagles on their bye week in Week 14, they could take it easy with the second-year, dual-threat quarterback for two weeks if he’s not feeling better by mid-week.
