Charles Barkley’s recent comments on the WNBA have created a lot of conversations in hoops circles. Now, Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has seemingly entered the chat and taken a shot at Barkley.
Earlier this week, Charles took aim at the WNBA, scolding players and telling them to stop being “petty” and thank Caitlin Clark for getting the league private charters, money and visibility.
Barkley’s comments attracted the attention of several current and former athletes. Chiney Ogwumike took to X (formerly Twitter) to explain why that notion is factually incorrect. Aces’ star A’ja Wilson was asked about Barkley’s comments but opted for the high road. However, in a since-deleted tweet, rookie Angel Reese seemingly clapped back at Barkley after the Sky earned a victory over the New York Liberty.
Here’s what Angel said:
“And that’s on getting a win in a packed out [arena], not just cause of one player on our charter flight.”

It’s unclear why Reese deleted the tweet, but it remains clear that the chatter surrounding Barkley’s thoughts is far from over.
