Angel Reese keeping Baltimore in her prayers following bridge collapse

While LSU women’s basketball prepares for a Sweet 16 matchup against UCLA on Saturday, [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] is processing the tragedy from earlier this week in her hometown.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed in Baltimore early on Tuesday morning after it was struck by a container ship. Two construction workers died during the collapse, while four more are missing and presumed dead.

Reese, who was born and raised in Baltimore and began her college career at Maryland (where her brother also currently plays) was asked about the tragic situation this week, and she offered her prayers to the victims.

“My prayers are to everyone that hasn’t been found yet, and the ones that are found and are still suffering from injuries,” Reese said, per On3. “I’m praying for Baltimore right now, and I hope everything gets resolved.”

Reese added a personal note, saying that her aunt would drive over the bridge every day to get to work and her family would travel across it to visit her aunt.

She and the rest of the LSU women’s basketball team will be back on the court to take on the Bruins in the Sweet 16 at noon CT on Saturday.
