Angel Reese becomes first WNBA player with back-to-back 20 rebound games

Angel Reese continues to make her mark in the record book as a rookie.

Angel Reese’s dominance on the boards has continued during the back half of her rookie campaign, and the Chicago Sky star set another record on Friday.

With a 13-point, 20-rebound performance in a loss to the Connecticut Sun, Reese also became just the seventh WNBA player with multiple 20-rebound games and the fourth with two in the same season.

Reese set the WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles earlier this season with 15, and she now has 21 double-doubles in 28 career games. That puts her just two away from tying what is the Sky and WNBA rookie single-season record.

She’s also the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 20 double-doubles in a season.

Reese is averaging a mark of 12.6 rebounds per game, a mark that would be the best in a single season in WNBA history. She’s also on pace to set single-season records for total rebounds and offensive rebounds.
