Angel Reese announces she will miss remainder of WNBA season with wrist injury

Angel Reese’s impressive rookie campaign has unfortunately come to an end.

While many LSU fans were either in Tiger Stadium or watching the Tigers take on Nicholls State from another venue, [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] dropped some huge news.

Reese took to her social media to announce that she will be out for the rest of the 2024 season due to a wrist injury. The injury occurred during the [autotag]Chicago Sky[/autotag]’s 92-78 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday.

The 2024 Rookie of the Year candidate had a great season before this injury. She had played in 34 games and made 34 starts. She averaged a double-double as she averaged 13.6 points per game and 13.1 rebounds per game.

Right now, the Sky are 12-22 and fighting for the No. 8 seed in the WNBA Playoffs. They hold the tiebreaker over the Sparks and are hanging on to the final playoff spot by a thread. Our thoughts and prayers are with Reese as we hope she recovers soon and can come back stronger than ever.
