Andy Reid discusses progress made by Chiefs rookie WR Skyy Moore

#Chiefs HC Andy Reid gave a brief update to give on the progress made by rookie WR Skyy Moore.

Kansas City Chiefs rookie WR Skyy Moore has been a little bit behind during the offseason program.

The second-round draft pick started off sitting out of rookie minicamp, nursing a minor hamstring injury. He returned to action at the team’s first group of OTAs, but he was limited compared to some of the other players. With OTAs coming to an end this week, Moore did the most that he had so far in offseason workouts and the reporters in attendance took notice.

KC Star beat writer Herbie Teope asked Andy Reid to give a progress report on Moore now that he’s been able to do more.

“No pun intended,” Reid joked. “Yes, he has been doing a lot more.”

Elaborating on what has changed, it’s just been a matter of Moore getting more opportunities to get reps in practice. He also has a greater understanding of what the team is trying to accomplish during this point of the offseason workout program.

“He’s doing a good job of understanding what we’re trying to get done,” Reid said. “Now it’s just a matter of the reps and catching up with the other guys.”

It’s reasonable to expect that Moore will continue to get better with every single repetition and opportunity he gets. With Mandatory Minicamp in the not-so-distant future, we could be seeing Moore settling in to the Chiefs’ system and making more plays during practice.
