Andrew Whitworth has been a stud for the Rams since he joined them as a free agent in 2017, becoming one of the most important players on the team. Unfortunately, he suffered a left leg injury in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks and had to be carted off the field.
K.J. Wright inadvertently hit the left leg of Whitworth, causing it to bend awkwardly and sending the big left tackle to the ground. He was in a great deal of pain before the cart came out.
🙏 for Big Whit

As he was being taken to the locker room, Whitworth was emotional. Players from both teams wished Whitworth well after he was put on the cart.

Whitworth was replaced by Joe Noteboom at left tackle after he was just activated off injured reserve last week.
This offseason, Whitworth signed a three-year contract extension with the Rams. He’ll turn 39 in December but has been playing at a very high level all year.
UPDATE: Rams announced Whitworth will not return.
