Eagles left tackle Andre Dillard compares switching from left tackle to right tackle to learning how to write with a new hand

Andre Dillard will make the fourth start of his NFL career when he replaces Lane Johnson in the lineup for the Eagles’ game against the Seattle Seahawks. It’ll be the first time Dillard has ever played right tackle.

Dillard was an All-American left tackle at Washington State, but this will be the first time he’s ever played right tackle in a game. Asked for comparison to describe the difference to reporters after practice on Friday, Dillard compared the experience to having to write with a different hand.

Johnson left the Eagles’ loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday with a concussion, and was still in the concussion protocol on Friday and has yet to be cleared to return.
