Not many people predicted the Jacksonville Jaguars would beat the Buffalo Bills in London. That included four-time NBA MVP LeBron James, who tweeted early Sunday morning that the Bills would get the win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Los Angeles Lakers star — along with plenty of others — was proven wrong by the Jaguars, who battled their way to a 25-20 win.
After the victory, Jaguars safety Andre Cisco had a little fun at James’ expense:

Last year, a few social media users pointed out that James seems to have a history of white lies about innocuous things like his appreciation of Migos and supposed prediction that Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game was coming.

A meme was born about lies told by James.
To be fair to the future Hall of Famer, predicting that the Bills would beat the Jaguars made plenty of sense at the time. After all, Buffalo won its three games prior by an average of 30 points each and Jacksonville’s road to 2-2 was far from impressive.
But the Jaguars are standing a little taller after improving to 3-2 and LeBron is catching strays because of it.
