And Davis believes he can help his team by refusing to allow the physical play to intimidate him. When he plays aggressively, Davis noticed there is a “snowball effect” both on the team’s defensive effort and ability to find open shots. No wonder Davis’ teammates and coaches tell him “we need you to go” during the rare times he’s played passively. “I just go out there and compete. I’ve always played this way,” Davis said. “I’ve always have been a guy who wants to win. Being here, people are starting to see more and more. There’s nothing I haven’t been doing since New Orleans. People that really follow me know that. Being here, the stage is a little bigger and people are starting to see it.”
