PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia 76ers were certainly being tested on Friday night at home. Facing their first real playoff team of the James Harden era, they found themselves off to a rough start as the Cleveland Cavaliers built a 21-point lead in the first quarter alone.
The Cavs made their first nine shots, they went to a zone defense early, and the Sixers were confused on how to score against it. They also could not get any stops and get out in transition as they are a team that has more success when they can get out and run.
Eventually, they were able to get it together and they rallied to knock off the Cavaliers 125-119 at home to improve to 4-0 in the Harden era. Tyrese Maxey was a big reason for the win as he had 33 points with 24 coming after halftime in order to help Philadelphia get the job done.
