Seattle Seahawks veteran defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris played in his second game with the team in Sunday’s 31-10 Week 8 defeat to the Buffalo Bills. General manager John Schneider previously acquired Robertson-Harris in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick. The versatile d-lineman did not play quite as well against the Bills as he did in his Week 7 debut versus the Atlanta Falcons.
Robertson-Harris recorded two tackles despite playing more snaps (29) this week compared to his debut (27). He had recorded a season-high five tackles against the Falcons in Week 7. In fairness, Seattle’s entire defense struggled against Josh Allen and the Bills’ high-octane offense.
Pro Football Focus credited Robertson-Harris with a 54.2 overall defensive grade. That’s fairly lower than last week’s season-best grade (68.2). Robertson-Harris failed to record a pressure on Allen. Robertson-Harris was also a liability versus the run, earning a score of 51.9 in that department (he had a 66.5 in Week 7).
Mike Macdonald’s defense was consistently outmatched versus a Bills offense that managed 31 points and nearly 450 total yards of offense. Robertson-Harris was a shrewd addition to this defensive line, despite the largely non-impactful performance on Sunday. Robertson-Harris will enjoy better afternoons as a Seahawk than what we all witnessed on Sunday.
