Not everybody believes Chris Paul’s addition to the Golden State Warriors is going to be a seamless fit. For some, the veteran ball-handlers style of play is too different from what the Warriors will be asking of him in the upcoming season. There are also questions regarding Paul’s history with the Warriors roster and how happy he really is to be teaming up with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

According to Frank Isola, who was speaking on 95.7 The Game,  it’s unlikely that Paul is truly thrilled to be with the Warriors. Isola also believes Golden State could potentially look to package Paul in another deal in the coming months.

“Chris Paul is fine there – but you can’t tell me that he’s thrilled to be joining a team that always used to beat him,” Isola said. “And doesn’t it make the most sense for him to come off the bench? So not only is he joining that team most likely coming off the bench – I still wonder if there’s a chance he could be traded somehow. Who knows. With James Harden out there, Damian Lillard, maybe something is going to happen.”

Despite how some Warriors fans may feel, Paul brings a new dimension to Golden State’s rotation. The team has been in need of another ball-handler who can initiate the offense for several seasons. However, questions regarding Paul’s role and whether he will start or come off the bench continue to swirl.

Regardless of whether Paul is a starter or a member of the second unit, the Warriors got stronger by adding the future Hall of Famer and will reap the benefits of having another elite guard at their disposal next season.
