When five-star guard Elliot Cadeau committed to North Carolina, Hubert Davis and his team landed a big-time recruit to come in and play point guard for the Tar Heels.
Cadeau then reclassified from 2024 to 2023 and will join the Tar Heels right away, bringing the excitement to the program a little earlier. And now, one analyst is hinting that the hype is real surrounding Cadeau.
Jon Rothstein tweeted out on Saturday that he’s heard from inside North Carolina’s program that Cadeau might be the best passing point guard the Tar Heels have had since Kendall Marshall. That’s big praise and something that should be good for UNC fans to hear.
Well embedded moles in Chapel Hill firmly believe that Elliott Cadeau will be the best passing point guard that North Carolina has had since Kendall Marshall.
Tar Heels didn't have a single player average more than 3.2 APG last season.

The struggles for North Carolina’s offense over the past few years have been at the guard spot in terms of passing. They’ve had scorers like R.J. Davis and Caleb Love but no one to really facilitate the ball.
They appear to have that in Cadeau as he’s primed for a special season in Chapel Hill.
