The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball roster will look a lot different in 2023-24 after a lot of turnover. The Tar Heels lost eight players to the transfer portal including starter Caleb Love.
They did add five players of their own as well as welcomed in a two-man recruiting class for 2023. That class is headlined by five-star guard Elliot Cadeau who should come in and make an impact right away.
While we have a long ways to go until we see this roster in action, one former player and a current analyst had some praise for what the Tar Heels did this offseason.
Terrence Oglesby of the Field of 68 took to Twitter to praise the Tar Heels’ roster, listing off who they added and the impact they can make:

Cormac Ryan was an underrated pull for UNC and will fit perfectly next to RJ Davis and Elliot Cadeau.
Harrison Ingram thrives in making plays for…

For whatever reason last year North Carolina just couldn’t put that chemistry together. They really struggled to play well together and often times looked out of sync.
It’s going to take this group of guys some time to get used to one another but the pieces do appear to fit better at least on paper.
