The early signing period for college basketball is officially here as players were eligible to sign their letters of intent on Wednesday.
For the 2024 cycle, Hubert Davis and his staff have three players committed in the class, which is ranked in the top 5 by major recruiting sites. With two five-star commitments and a four-star commitment, the 2024 class is in great shape.
The Tar Heels class was ranked No. 1 for the longest time before being passed by Missouri and Duke. Still, it’s a very good and important class for Davis and his staff, especially after the offseason they had re-shaping their roster.
But what is the national outlook on it? Eric Bossi of 247Sports discussed the top classes in 2024 and had this to say about North Carolina’s:
James Brown became the first player to sign on Wednesday and will be joined by Drake Powell and Ian Jackson later in the week. Getting the class signed is a huge step and now Davis and his staff can focus on future recruiting classes with 2025 and 2026.
