Meet Zuzana Paulova.
She’s a curling athlete from the Czech Republic, and over the weekend, Olympics fans on Twitter started to notice that she had some pretty awesome earrings on while competing in Beijing.
Specifically, they’re curling stone earrings! Got to love that, right?
And it turns out there was a reason she wore them, which we’ll get into in a second, but if there are events where athletes can wear jewelry or flair of some sort — are there any? — it’d be so fun to see more equipment-themed stuff. Aren’t the Olympics fun?
