Amway Coaches Poll released: Where are the LSU Tigers?

LSU came in the top five of the standings.

The Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, was released on Sunday, following the first week of play in the 2020 college football season.

The LSU Tigers came in at No.5 overall on the list, ahead of Florida and behind Georgia.

Clemson (1-0) was ranked No. 1 after a 37-13 season-opening win over Wake Forest. Clemson received 37 of 41 first-place ballots.

LSU received three first-place votes, while Alabama received the other vote. Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia and LSU make up the rest of the top five.

A total of eight SEC teams made the poll after all of the Big Ten and Pac-12 teams dropped out.
