Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown burst onto the scene in 2022, quickly developing his young NFL career.
St. Brown had 106 receptions for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns. He established himself as Jared Goff’s favorite target.
Thursday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Brown showed that he could have a monster season for the Lions.
The former USC receiver was targeted 9 times, hauling in 6 receptions for 71 yards and a crucial touchdown, helping the Lions edge the Chiefs 21-20.
St. Brown seems set for another big year as the undisputed top receiver in Detroit. Up next is a matchup at home against a talented Seattle Seahawk secondary.
Before playing against Pete Carroll, however, St. Brown will attend the USC-Stanford game as a tunnel captain for the Trojans. The Lions’ Thursday game enabled St. Brown to get the weekend off. He will be a popular figure inside the Los Angeles Coliseum for Saturday night’s game against a familiar Pac-12 foe. USC is known for winning. The Lions aren’t. In 2023, they both might prosper, with Amon-Ra St. Brown leading the transformation in Detroit.
