Amon-Ra St Brown throws shade at defending champion Michigan

Amon-Ra St. Brown is beloved by Detroit Lions fans, but he just talked smack about Michigan before USC’s visit to Ann Arbor. This is spicy.

This season, USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington have officially joined the Big Ten Conference coming from the Pac-12 Conference. It seems to be a more difficult path ahead for all four teams. Appearing on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast hosted by former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, Detroit Lions wideout and former USC star Amon-Ra St. Brown was asked about the Trojans, his alma mater, making the move, which means USC will regularly play Michigan, St. Brown’s adopted home state as a member of the Lions.

“I love the move. We’re not worried about the Big Ten, though,” said St. Brown. “We’re on the West Coast. All Michigan wants to do is run it. Just pack the box, they can’t throw. Make them throw. It’s all good. Harbaugh’s gone now. It’s over,” said St. Brown.

He later added, “I don’t know if we’re gonna run it, but it’s gonna be fun. I know Michigan’s done. They had their one shot, it’s over with.”

St. Brown talked about being heavily recruited by Michigan and Jim Harbaugh back in his Mater Dei High School days on the podcast

“I actually took an official to Michigan when I was coming out of high school. Michigan vs Michigan State, rainy like crazy. Michigan State won and I’m like, ‘I can’t go here.’ Rainy like crazy. I’m from Southern California. I’m like, This rain is ridiculous number one, I couldn’t catch a ball in this. Then I’m like, and they lost. Vibes were low, recruiting coordinator, wasn’t feeling that, I’m good, bro.”

The Michigan Wolverines host the USC Trojans on September 21 in the Trojans’ inaugural Big Ten Conference football matchup at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on CBS.
