Amon-Ra St. Brown has a friendly bet his Lions best his brother Equanimeous’ Bears

Amon-Ra St. Brown has a friendly bet his Lions finish with a better record than his brother Equanimeous’ Chicago Bears

Amon-Ra St. Brown capped off an impressive rookie season by lighting up the Green Bay Packers for eight catches, 109 yards and a touchdown reception in the 2021 finale. He did that with his older brother, Equanimeous, playing wide receiver for the Packers.

Now Equanimeous is in Chicago after signing as a free agent with the Bears. For Amon-Ra, it is reason to up the ante in the family trash-talking stakes.

In a recent interview on 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit, the Lions wideout talked about the competitive rivalry between the NFL brothers.

“There’s definitely some trash talk going on,” Amon-Ra told the Stoney & Jansen with Heather show. “We finished last year 1-1. They beat us, we beat them. Their excuse is, ‘Yeah, but we were going to the playoffs so Aaron Rodgers didn’t play the whole game.’ But I don’t care what it is. That’s the record.”

Amon-Ra declared the brothers, “made a little friendly bet. $1,000 that we’ll have a better season than them.”

That money seems a little easier for Amon-Ra to capture in 2022. The Packers remain the team to beat in the NFC North. Meanwhile, the Bears have a lower projected win total based on season win odds than Detroit does, 5.5 to the Lions’ 6.5.
