Alvin Kamara suspended by NFL

Former Vol Alvin Kamara suspended by NFL.

The NFL suspended New Orleans running back Alvin Kamara three games for his role during a fight in Feb. 2022.

Kamara was arrested for battery and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge. He was suspended Friday for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Kamara will miss the Saints’ first three regular-season games against Tennessee, Carolina and Green Bay. He can return to the Saints on Sept. 25.

Kamara played for the Vols from 2015-2016 after transferring from Hutchinson Community College. He transferred to Hutchinson Community College from Alabama.

The former Vol was selected by New Orleans in the third-round of the 2017 NFL draft (No. 67 overall).

Kamara earned 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and is a five-time Pro Bowl selection.
