Detailing Alvin Kamara’s new deal with the New Orleans Saints

NEW ORLEANS — Running back Alvin Kamara and the New Orleans Saints have agreed to a new contract.

Kamara, who played for the University of Tennessee under head coach Butch Jones, was the National Football League’s Offensive Rookie of the Year and the Pepsi Rookie of the Year in 2017.

The former Vol is a three-time Pro Bowler for the Saints. He is a dual-threat player and one of quarterback Drew Brees’ favorite targets out of the backfield.

The deal is a five-year contract extension and is worth $75 million.

Kamara’s new deal will net him $77.13 million, including $34.3 million in guaranteed money. He will also receive a $15 million signing bonus.
