Alvin Kamara returns, leads Saints to victory

Former Vol Alvin Kamara returns to lead New Orleans to victory over Jets.

Alvin Kamara returned for New Orleans Sunday after missing four games with a knee injury.

He provided a spark in New Orleans’ 30-9 victory over the Jets (3-10) at MetLife Stadium.

Karmara, a former Vol and four-time Pro Bowl selection, rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries. He also had four receptions for 25 yards for New Orleans (6-7), who snapped a five-game losing streak with the victory.

Kamara was the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017.

In 2021, Kamara has rushed for 650 yards and four touchdowns on 173 carries, while totaling 36 receptions for 335 yards and four touchdowns.

The Saints play at Tampa Bay Dec. 19. Kickoff is slated 8:20 p.m. EST.

New Orleans defeated the Buccaneers, 36-27, on Oct. 31 before enduring its five-game losing streak.
