All-time Lott IMPACT Trophy winners by year

The Lott IMPACT Trophy has awarded one of college football’s top defensive players every season since 2004.

Among the many college football awards every year, the Lott IMPACT Trophy honors the nation’s top defensive player based on a number of categories. The player that best exemplifies integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community, and tenacity is determined by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation every season since 2004.

The growing list of Lott Trophy recipients continues to feature some big-name football stars like J.J. Watt and Luke Kuechly. The award was first presented in 2004 to Georgia linebacker David Pollack. Northwestern’s Paddy Fisher is the most recent winner of the award.

UCLA is the only school to be home to two Lott IMPACT Trophy winners with back-to-back winners in 2013 and 2014. The Big Ten has had the most winners with six. The SEC is close behind with five all-time winners. The Big 12 is the only power conference to never have a Lott IMPACT Trophy winner, although TCU is home to a former winner prior to their move to the Big 12.

Here is a look at every winner of the Lott IMPACT Trophy in chronological order.
