In a must-win game, the Vikings will have the task of trying to slow down Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson.
Don’t let the poor quarterback play in Chicago confuse you: Allen Robinson is really, really good.
And he’s been hot lately.
He’s had 70 or more receiving yards in six of the last seven games and is coming off of a 9-catch, 123-yard, 1-touchdown performance against the Texans.
On the season, Robinson already has 86 receptions for 1,027 yards and six touchdowns. He’s on pace to increase his numbers from last season and could hit his career-high total of 1,400 yards that he set in 2015 if he continues his play.
Recent history tells us that the Vikings will do fine against Robinson, though. The only time Robinson didn’t reach the 70-yard mark since mid-October came against the Vikings in their Week 10 victory when Robinson had six catches for 43 yards.
If the Vikings can slow down Robinson, you really have to wonder how the Bears’ offense will move the ball at all.
