Allen Robinson expects to finish the season with the Chicago Bears

Following trade rumors, Bears WR Allen Robinson spoke to Chicago media where he told them he expects to finish this season with the team.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson has been the talk of the town over the last 36 hours after scrubbing his social media of most Bears-related content and rumors circulating regarding his frustrations with the lack of a contract extension.

The situation reached an apex on Tuesday after news broke that Robinson had reportedly broached the possibility of a trade request. Those reports were later refuted, but the playmaker’s situation remained murky.

Robinson met the media on Wednesday and revealed he spoke with general manager Ryan Pace as well as Matt Nagy. After saying he had “very good spirited conversation,” Robinson was asked if he expected to remain on the Bears for the rest of the season.

“Uh, yeah I would say so,” Robinson told reporters, declining to confirm or deny that he had asked for a trade.

The former Pro-Bowl receiver is in the final year of his three-year, $42 million deal he signed prior to the 2018 season after coming to the Bears from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
