A long touchdown from Aaron Rodgers to Allen Lazard has the Green Bay Packers on the doorstep of the NFC Championship Game.
Rodgers, the presumptive regular season MVP, found Lazard down the field for a 58-yard touchdown, putting the Packers up 14 points over the Los Angeles Rams with just under seven minutes to go in the NFC Divisional Round.
The play-action fake allowed Lazard to get behind the coverage of Rams cornerback Troy Hill for the score.
Lazard made amends for dropping a potential touchdown in the third quarter.
The touchdown pass was Rodgers’ second of the game and third score overall. He hit Davante Adams for a touchdown in the first quarter and then ran for a touchdown in the second quarter.
If the Packers close out the win, they would face the winner between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game.
