Philadelphia 76ers franchise icon Allen Iverson grew up in an era that was dominated by a handful of players. There were legendary icons such as Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, and others. However, there is just one legend that stands above the rest that really influenced a lot of players like Iverson and others.
Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan–who’s “The Last Dance” documentary captured the attention of thousands of sports fans–was the one who influenced Iverson the most. Sure, he probably resembled Thomas just a bit more, but Jordan was the one who he wanted to emulate.

Even though Jordan had some choice words for Iverson when he first met him, the man they call The Answer still had his respect for the guy who is considered the best player to ever pick up a basketball. The 6-foot guard from Georgetown would go on to have a pretty legendary career in his own right so it was a good idea for him to try and be like His Airness. [lawrence-related id=31207,31193,31185]
