The UFC returns to Abu Dhabi later this month with a stacked card.
Highlighted by a championship doubleheader and some of the most popular stars in the region, fans will get the chance to attend one of the biggest events of the year.
In the main event, [autotag]Jan Blachowicz[/autotag] (28-8 MMA, 11-5 UFC) will put his light heavyweight title on the line against resurging contender [autotag]Glover Teixeira[/autotag] (32-7 MMA, 15-5 UFC). The co-feature is an interim bantamweight title fight between former champion [autotag]Petr Yan[/autotag] (15-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) and [autotag]Cory Sandhagen[/autotag] (14-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC).
[autotag]Islam Makhachev[/autotag] (20-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) will look to break into title contention when he takes on short-notice replacement [autotag]Dan Hooker[/autotag] (21-10 MMA, 11-6 UFC), who has won fans over with his game demeanor. UFC 267 also marks the return of [autotag]Khamzat Chimaev[/autotag] (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), who takes on his sternest test to date in China’s [autotag]Li Jingliang[/autotag] (17-6 MMA, 9-4 UFC).
UFC 267 takes place Oct. 30 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The main card is expected to air on ABC after prelims on ESPN networks.
MMA Junkie caught up with Fatima Saeed Al Baloushi, Deputy Director of the Abu Dhabi Events Bureau, to fill fans in on what they can expect during fight week, as well as the requirements needed to attend the event.
