You want to know who the best players in the NFL are? Just ask the guys who have to face them on the field.

Lane Johnson is widely considered the best right tackle in the NFL. The two-time All Pro said the toughest he’s ever had to face is Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby.

“I would say it would be Maxx Crosby,” Johnson said in an interview with NFL media. “I think he has obviously the motor and I think he has maybe the most versatile moves and (he’s) dynamic in the run game as well.”

What’s interesting is Johnson has only faced Crosby in the season once — Week seven of the 2021 season. So, Crosby clearly made quite an impression in that one game.

Though the Raiders would win that game, Johnson did to Crosby what he does to most edge rushers; he held him mostly in check.

Crosby didn’t have any sacks in that game, but did have a QB hit and two tackles. While apparently giving Johnson all he could handle all game long.
