For the first time in his career, defensive end Myles Garrett brought home the NFL Defensive Player of the Year hardware. He was one of four members of the Cleveland Browns to win an NFL honor at the end of the season, joining head coach Kevin Stefanski, assistant coach Jim Schwartz, and NFL Comeback Player of the Year award-winner Joe Flacco.
And the Browns worked hard to make sure to keep the room of edge rushers together.
Za’Darius Smith re-signed with the Browns on a two-year deal this past offseason, and rotational standouts Ogbo Okoronkwo and Alex Wright will be back as well. As Schwartz looks to improve upon a season where his defense finished first in the NFL, this elite group of pass rushers will remain the main ingredient of the Browns’ success.
