The Jets will be without one of their top tackles for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Broncos. Right tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker is out with a calf injury.
Hopefully, this injury isn’t as bad as last year’s triceps injury that knocked Vera-Tucker out for the remainder of the season after Week 7. It likely won’t be, but it’s still unfortunate to see Vera-Tucker suffer an injury in Denver for the second year in a row. Max Mitchell is in for Vera-Tucker at right tackle.
On a positive note, left tackle Mekhi Becton did return to the game after having his right knee — the one that was surgically repaired — looked at late in the first half. Billy Turner had to step in for a few moments, but Becton returned early in the third quarter.

As a result, Turner is the lone remaining backup tackle for the Jets. Carter Warren had his 21-day practice window opened this week but has not yet been officially activated from injured reserve.
