On Wednesday, Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Aleksej Pokusevski made a bit of team history with a hot-shooting night from beyond the arc in a loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
Pokusevski registered a career-high 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists during the 113-102 loss. He finished the contest by converting on 9-of-14 shot attempts from the field, including 7-of-11 from 3-point range, in 33 minutes of action.
His seven 3-pointers set the Thunder record for a single game by a rookie, topping the mark of six held by four different players. Thunder rookie Theo Maledon, who also finished with 25 points in the loss, was among the players with six 3s in a game.
Pokusevski, 19, became the youngest player to make seven 3s in a game.

Since returning from assignment in the NBA G League, Pokusevski has put together his best run of the season with the Thunder. He is averaging 13.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 13 games on 36.9% shooting from 3-point range during that span.
The Thunder were very high on Pokusevski coming to the NBA draft last year and the 19-year-old is beginning to show why the organization took him in the first round.
