For the second straight year, the USF Bulls gave the Alabama Crimson Tide all they could handle. Alabama entered the fourth quarter with a 14-13 lead but used a four-touchdown fourth quarter to win 42-16, but for whatever reason, the Bulls have given the Crimson Tide all sorts of trouble with both Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer in charge.
QB Jalen Milroe and the offense struggled to find much of a rhythm all evening long with missing pieces all over the offensive line. Fortunately, Kane Wommack and the Crimson Tide played a very strong game holding USF QB Byrum Brown to 15/35 for just 103 yards on the day.
Tim Keenan III was the defensive stand-out for Alabama with nine total tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. As a result of his Week 2 performance, Keenan was named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week.
Alabama fans certainly won’t want to hear this, but the Bulls will be back in Tuscaloosa in 2026 to complete the trilogy.
