The Carolina Panthers will get a closer look at another one of the top quarterback prospects in this year’s draft.
According to Jim Nagy, Alabama’s Mac Jones is joining the squad to be coached by Carolina at the 2021 Senior Bowl.

Jones is generally the fifth-ranked QB in this class behind Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, Ohio State’s Justin Fields, BYU’s Zach Wilson and North Dakota State’s Trey Lance. It’s a pretty far drop from No. 4 to No. 5 though.
Some analysts have ranked Florida’s Kyle Trask higher than Jones. He will also be part of the group of QBs that Matt Rhule’s staff will be working with in Mobile. The others are Jamie Newman from Georgia/Wake Forest and Kellen Mond from Texas A&M.
