Alabama’s AP Poll ranking revealed after blowout victory in SEC opener

Alabama’s AP Poll ranking revealed after blowout victory over Oklahoma.

Simply put, it’s hard to imagine a better start to SEC conference play than what became a reality for the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night.

On Saturday, Alabama welcomed one of the conference’s newest teams to Coleman Coliseum in the Oklahoma Sooners, who were also undefeated at 13-0 overall for the season at the time. However, the Crimson Tide simply owned this Top 15 showdown, crushing to an impressive 107-79 victory to extend their current winning streak to six-straight.

Holding a ranking of No. 5 nationally in the AP Poll entering the contest as well, just how did this impressive result affect Alabama’s standing?

Well, the Crimson Tide’s ranking of No. 5 in the AP Poll did not change in the latest update Monday afternoon. The Crimson Tide are still ranked right behind Tennessee, Auburn, Iowa State, and Duke within the top five, in that order.

Alabama will be back in action Wednesday night for their SEC road opener at South Carolina.
