Alabama wide receiver to reportedly enter NCAA transfer portal

A fifth Alabama wide receiver has now entered the transfer portal.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program has now lost their first player to the NCAA transfer portal after their ReliaQuest Bowl loss to the Michigan Wolverines on New Year’s Eve, as wide receiver Jaren Hamilton announced his intentions to do so Wednesday afternoon.

Hamilton, a redshirt freshman, did not see much action during his two years at Alabama, not recording any stats combined between the 2023-24 seasons.

Prior to Alabama, Hamilton came to Tuscaloosa as a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class where he was considered as a four-star prospect out of Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida.

With the former four-star now in the portal, Hamilton becomes the fifth wide receiver from Alabama to announce their intentions to depart the program so far this cycle. Hamilton joins others such as Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice, Caleb Odom, and Emmanuel Henderson Jr., each of which have already made a transfer decision.
