Alabama (3-0) will take on Mercer (1-2) on Friday, Nov. 17th. The Crimson Tide come into the game averaging over 100 points per game. On the other hand, the Bears average a little over 65 points per game.
Mercer lost Game 1 against Clark Atlanta 74-66. That is a tough loss for the Bears as Clark Atlanta should have been a sure-fire win given the fact that they are a Division-2 team.
In Game 2, the Bears got back in the win column after knocking off Chicago State 66-61. Then, Mercer fell 74-66 to a common opponent, the Morehead State Eagles. Alabama defeated Morehead State 105-73 in the first game of the 2023-2024 season.
Ultimately, Alabama should be able to make things look easy in Game 4 of the season against Mercer. To do so, the Crimson Tide will need to neutralize the Bears’ leading scorers — Jalyn McCreary and Robby Carmody.
Alabama has improved each game on the defensive end of the floor. It will be a tall task for the Bears to come into Coleman Coliseum and pick up a win.
