Alabama transfer defensive back commits to Big 12 program

The Alabama cornerback has made his transfer portal decision.

Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Jahlil Hurley decided where he will play college football in 2025, committing to the Kansas Jayhawks.

Hurley is the second Alabama transfer to make a decision so far, joining edge rusher Keanu Koht who committed to Vanderbilt.

A former four-star prospect, Hurley was a member of Alabama’s 2023 recruiting class out of in-state Florence High School. Hurley did not play much in his two seasons at Alabama. His lone stat over that span came this year when he had one tackle.

Not only is Hurley the lone Alabama cornerback to enter the transfer portal so far this cycle, but he was also the third Crimson Tide player overall to announce his intentions (Dec. 3). The two players to make their transfer portal intentions known before Hurley were Jehiem Oatis and Koht.
