Alabama target announces commitment to ACC program

The four-star center has made a decision.

One of the top centers in the 2025 recruiting class, Jaden Toombs announced his commitment to the SMU Mustangs on Wednesday afternoon over a list of four additional finalists.

Those programs were the Alabama Crimson Tide, Miami Hurricanes, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and Vanderbilt Commodores.

Toombs, who visited Alabama back in late-August, is considered as one of the premier centers in the 2025 recruiting class, ranking as the No. 6 player at the position in the cycle. A four-star prospect, Toombs is also considered as the nation’s No. 44 overall player according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, and is the No. 4 prospect in the state of Texas where he attends Dynamic Prep.

With the four-star having now committed to SMU, Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class still sits at No. 8 overall in the 2025 cycle with a total of two commits. Those come from a pair of four-star small forwards in London Jemison and Amari Allen, both of which committed to Alabama earlier this month.
