Alabama men’s basketball fought hard on its home court to take down No. 8 Auburn in a highly-anticipated matchup. As SEC play continues these will be the two programs many within the conference will keep an eye on. In their first meeting of 2024, the Crimson Tide got the win 79-75.
With this win, Alabama improved to 13-6 overall with an SEC record, so far, of 5-1. Auburn is now also 5-1, which means the two are tied for first in the conference. However, the Tigers are 16-3 overall on the season.
The game opened up with some intrigue, as an issue with the newly-installed lights forced the game to be put on pause just seconds into it getting started.

It was a team effort for the Tide, but Grant Nelson certainly stood out, especially late in the game, as a player who contributed greatly to this win. Roll Tide Wire will share a complete box score breakdown of all stats from the contest.
