Alabama stays at No. 7 in US LBM Coaches Poll after victory over South Carolina

How does Alabama’s struggle win against South Carolina affect their latest US LBM Coaches Poll ranking?

The highly anticipated Week 7 of the college football season certainly lived up to the hype, with Oregon holding off Ohio State in a clash of top-three teams, Alabama surviving South Carolina after a late onside kick recovery and LSU ending Ole Miss’s Playoff aspirations.

For the Crimson Tide, they move to 5-1 on the year and still sit in a great position to qualify got the SEC Championship. However, outside of the first half against Georgia, Alabama hasn’t always looked the part of a conference champion. Winning games in the SEC is difficult and they all count the same, but the Tide faithful are getting a little worried as it’s been ten straight quarters of sloppy defense and sub-par football.

Their following games are at No. 10 Tennessee, vs. No. 16 Missouri and at No. 8 LSU, so there is no more time for growing pains. Following Week 7 games, the latest US LBM Coaches Poll was released. Alabama stayed at No. 7 despite their struggle win.
