While the transfer portal has yet to officially open, there are still many names across college football who have already in fact announced their intentions to enter when the window opens.
Among that group are numerous players who will certainly be sought-after in the portal as well, one of which is NC State wide receiver Kevin Concepcion.
Having recently declared for the portal as well, Concepcion also reportedly has a list of teams that he is now expected to look at according to On3’s Pete Nakos, one of which is the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alongside the Crimson Tide, Nakos also mentions the Auburn Tigers, Colorado Buffaloes, Kansas State Wildcats, and Penn State Nittany Lions among the teams the wide receiver is expected to look at.
A transfer from NC State, Concepcion has been one of the ACC’s top wide receivers across the last two seasons where he has hauled in a combined 124 receptions for 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns. Concepcion has also rushed for 356 yards and two touchdowns on 60 attempts during that span, while also seeing time on special teams.
This season, Concepcion hauled in a combined 53 receptions for a NC State team that went 6-6 during the regular season, which translated to 460 yards and six touchdowns. Concepcion also rushed for 36 yards and two scores on 19 attempts, as well as returned five punts for 45 yards.
At the moment, Concepcion ranks as the No. 2 overall player available in the transfer portal according to 247Sports, trailing only Alabama defensive lineman Jehiem Oatis.
As the portal officially opens in the coming week, keep an eye on the NC State standout as a potential Alabama target.
