Alabama RB hospitalized following injuries sustained from car accident

Alabama redhirt freshman running back trey sanders sustained non-life threatening injuries in a car accident this morning.

Alabama redshirt freshman running back Trey Sanders has been flown to a nearby hospital following a car accident he was involved in. He sustained non-life threatening injuries, a statement from the University of Alabama confirms.

Specifics on the accident, and the injuries sustained by Sanders have not been made public.

He was a part of the Crimson Tide’s 2019 recruiting class as a five-star running back from Florida. However, he was unable to play in the 2019 season due to a torn ACL over the summer.

So far in 2020, Sanders has appeared in four games where he has rushed for 134 yards on 30 carries.
