Alabama redshirt freshman running back Trey Sanders has been flown to a nearby hospital following a car accident he was involved in. He sustained non-life threatening injuries, a statement from the University of Alabama confirms.
Specifics on the accident, and the injuries sustained by Sanders have not been made public.
He was a part of the Crimson Tide’s 2019 recruiting class as a five-star running back from Florida. However, he was unable to play in the 2019 season due to a torn ACL over the summer.
So far in 2020, Sanders has appeared in four games where he has rushed for 134 yards on 30 carries.
Nick Saban also commented on Sanders’ accident offering an update:
