Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe reveals official 2025 NFL draft decision

Alabama’s starting quarterback has officially made his decision.

In what was likely the most anticipated NFL draft decision for the Alabama Crimson Tide this offseason, starting quarterback Jalen Milroe has officially announced his intentions to declare for the 2025 NFL draft.

Milroe made the announcement Thursday afternoon on social media, ending his time as the starting quarterback of the Crimson Tide.

A former four-star prospect in Alabama’s 2021 recruiting class, Milroe spent all four seasons of his collegiate career in Tuscaloosa, the last of which have been spent as the starting quarterback. Over that four-year span, the redshirt junior, who finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting in 2023, completed a combined 64.3% of passes for 6,016 yards with a 45:20 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 1,577 yards and 33 touchdowns on 375 attempts.

This past season, Milroe completed 64.3% of passes for 2,844 yards with a 16:11 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for a career-high 726 yards and 20 touchdowns on 168 attempts.

Looking ahead, Milroe is a prospect who has been mocked as early as the top of the first round, and could very easily be one of the first Alabama players to hear his name called in the 2025 NFL draft.
