One of the more impressive performances in Alabama’s Week 4 win over Ole Miss came from Crimson Tide outside linebacker Dallas Turner. The junior standout was named the Maxwell Football’s Bednarik Player of the Week. Turner tallied 5 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks.
Thus far, Turner has recorded 17 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles on the season. He has been a key member of Alabama’s defensive front. His ability to rush the passer consistently and contribute to stopping the run has helped him become one of the top edge rushers in the country.
Turner and his co-partner at edge rusher, Chris Braswell, have both continued to improve week in and week out. It will be interesting to see how the two coexist moving forward.
