The Alabama Crimson Tide’s hopes of a national title this year ended Sunday after they were left out of the first-ever 12-team Playoff. While it’s disappointing, Kalen DeBoer and his staff will have learned much from their first year in the SEC and the importance of treating each game as the national title.
With the Tide’s only remaining game coming against Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, the transfer portal will be lighting up in the coming days. So far, only a handful of players have announced their decision to leave including OL Naquil Betrand.
Betrand was a three-star recruit out of high school and signed with the Texas A&M Aggies but transferred to Alabama after just one year. At 6’6 and 320 pounds, Betrand will have several suitors in the portal with three years of eligibility remaining.
