Alabama has a history of landing and developing some of the nation’s top edge rushers. In the past, Alabama has sent notable edge rushers Will Anderson Jr., Da’Shawn Hand, and A’Shawn Robinson to the NFL. Now, Alabama will attempt to land another elite edge rusher with hopes of helping him reach the professional level as well.
On Friday morning, the Crimson Tide coaching staff extended an offer to 2025 edge rusher Amaree Williams. Williams hails from North Palm Beach, Florida. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, according to 247Sports.
Through the first six games of his junior season, Williams has recorded 15 tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and an interception. He has been a key member of the Buccaneers defense for the past two seasons and college programs across the country have begun to take notice.
