Alabama LB target Arion Carter decommits from Memphis

Alabama has been in pursuit of Arion Carter since offering him in September. He announced his de-commitment from Memphis on Wednesday.

Alabama extended an offer to 2023 linebacker Arion Carter back in September. At the time, he was committed to Memphis to play running back. After transitioning to play linebacker, many power-five programs took notice. Several of the schools that took notice and offered him scholarships were USC, Ohio State, Auburn, and Tennessee.

Carter has scheduled official visits to Tennessee (Dec. 2), Auburn (Nov. 19), and Alabama (Dec. 9). Currently, Alabama is the favorite to land Carter at 96.6%, according to On3’s RPM.

The expectation has been that Carter would flip his commitment to Alabama for quite a while. We will continue to monitor his recruitment and provide you with the latest.
